Karin Jakubcova

Research Assistant

Karin Jakubcova is entering her third year of undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, where she is pursuing a Specialist in Financial Economics. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of economics, mathematics, public policy, and data-driven research.

Currently, Karin is exploring networks of influence in Canadian government contracting, examining procurement data, ownership networks, and lobbying activity to better understand how economic and political relationships shape public-sector decision-making and accountability.

More broadly, Karin is interested in applying quantitative methods to study complex social and economic systems. She hopes to continue exploring questions related to political economy, governance, and public policy throughout her academic career.
