Florence Laflamme is an incoming PhD student at the University of Toronto. She completed a B. Sc. (Honors) in political science at the Université de Montréal, as well as a microprogram in big data analysis and a microprogram in Indigenous studies.


Prior to joining PATRON, she worked as a research assistant at the Université de Montréal and at Mila (Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms). Her current projects include an analysis of NATO’s countries defence policies (sponsored by the Department of National Defence’s Mobilizing Insights in Defence and Security (MINDS) program), and a survey experiment on the influence of accents on the perception of voters (R&R).


She is particularly interested in computational social science, natural language processing, and everything methods-related.
