Murugakrishnan is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, pursuing a Specialist program in Political Science. He is currently building Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence and Google Cloud Vision pipelines to digitize and bring to life Canada's early parliamentary debates. His research on these founding debates aims to draw attention to the issues that preoccupied parliamentarians during Confederation.

Muru's academic interests span Indigenous politics, Canadian federalism, and constitutional politics. Driven by a dual passion for programming and political science, Muru hopes to deepen his work in these areas after completing his undergraduate studies.
