Graduate Student

Karma is a Master of Public Policy student at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. She completed an HBA in International Development Studies and a Minor in Political Science from the University of Toronto Scarborough, where she worked on an undergraduate thesis examining Moroccan decentralization policies and their impact on local governance and participatory development.


She has also worked as a Research Assistant on projects related to Arab Canadians’ socioeconomic inclusion, higher education, and sustainable development, and brings experience working in the development field and nonprofit sector in both Canada and the MENA region.


Her research areas of interest include immigration, social policy, and participatory approaches to development..
